The Colombo High Court today (30) stated that former Minister Basil Rajapaksa and three others have been acquitted over the Divineguma court case.
The case was filed against former Minister Basil Rajapaksa, former Director General of the Divineguma Department Kithsiri Ranawaka, former Deputy Director of the Divineguma Department Bandula Thilakasiri and former Secretary of the Economic Development Ministry Dr. Michael Jayathilake under indictments on five counts for misappropriation of funds of 2.9 billion of the Divineguma Department during the 2015 elections.
