Today’s Cabinet meeting was held through video technology for the first time in the history of Sri Lanka, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said. It said President Gotabaya Rajapaksa joined the meeting from the Presidential Secretariat while the Ministers joined from their offices. “The meeting was a success. The cabinet meeting was held through video technology not only because of the COVID-19 epidemic but also taking into consideration the efficiency, convenience and saving cost,” the PMD said.
