Govt to declare 'work from home' period for public and pvt sectors

The government is to declare a six day 'work from home' period for the public and private sectors, The Sunday Morning learns. The six day 'work from home' period will commence from 20 March until 27 March. Government sources further said that these days will not be declared as public and mercantile holidays. Respective department/institution heads will have the discretion of deciding the manner in which the staff would be handled and forming a work roster for the staff, sources added. Further information in this regard will be announced at the press conference this evening to be convened by the National Operations Center on Covid 19.
