Grade one admissions for 2021 in government schools would be limited to 35 students, The Morning learnt.
Ministry of Education Secretary N.H.M. Chithrananda said that there would be no change in the circular with regard to grade one admissions. .
He said that schools found to be exceeding limits could be penalised.
“No one can admit more than 35 pupils per class for grade one, regardless of the circumstances. The circular must be strictly followed,” Chithrananda said.
