Inspector General of Police (IGP) Pujith Jayasundara appeared before the Government Analyst today (14) to record a voice sample. He had been asked to provide a voice sample as part of the ongoing investigation into the alleged plot in the assassination of President Maithripala Sirisena and former Defense Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa. The Government Analyst will look to verify if the voice of the IGP matches the voices of conversations stored in the mobile phones data base of activist Namal Kumara.
