Several unauthorised devices including mobile phones were uncovered in the prison cell of notorious drug kingpin “Kanjipani Imran” at the Boossa Prison in Galle on Saturday (6).
The illegal equipment was discovered during a special search operation carried out by the Special Task Force (STF) at the prison.
The STF said the contraband had been concealed in the ceiling of Kanjipani Imran’s cell. Accordingly, a smartphone, a normal mobile phone, two SIM cards, a phone charger, and a hands-free device have been seized.
