One of the most loved veterans among Sri Lanka’s sports journalists for over many decades, Elmo Rodrigopulle passed away yesterday (20) following a brief illness.
He was the Associate Editor - Sports at the Sunday Observer at the time of his death.
Elmo had captained St. Benedict’s College, Colombo cricket team before being a member of the Sri Lanka Board President’s XI.
Elmo was also the Sports Editor of the Daily News for many years.
