People’s Action for Free & Fair Elections (PAFFREL) is to deploy more than 340 election observers during pre-election period, PAFFREL Executive Director Rohana Hettiarachchi said.
Hettiarachchi speaking to The Morning said following the declaration of the election date by the Election Commission today, PAFFREL will deploy its pre-election observers to monitor election propaganda activities.
Hettiarachchi speaking further said PAFFREL will deploy 1000 election observers for postal voting and 3000 election observers during the general election.
For the entire election process PAFFREL will deploy more than 5000 election observers, Hettiarachchi added.
