Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana today stated that parents and teachers should share equal responsibility over schoolchildren following health regulations properly to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
He stated this in light of the reopening of schools in all provinces except the Western Province.
He further said that special traffic police teams have been deployed to observe the following of health guidelines in school transport and whether the children follow the health regulations accordingly in these transport services.
