Gunasekera said Sri Lanka was keen to share best practices on reconciliation process and mechanisms for counter-terrorism.
Both officials have further agreed to enhance cooperation in the areas of tourism, trade and investment.
Sri Lanka has also expressed its willingness to work with the Department of Foreign Affairs, Philippines to further strengthen Sri Lanka’s relations with the country.
During a recent state visit made by President Maithripala Sirisena, MOUs were signed in the areas of defence, agriculture, higher education and tourism. Gunasekera extended an invitation to Secretary Locsin to visit Sri Lanka for the opening of the Philippine Embassy in Colombo.Assistant Secretary of the Office of Asia and Pacific Affairs (ASPAC), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Meynardo L.B.
