President Gotabaya Rajapaksa today appointed 21 new Judges to the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said. Six Judges of the Supreme Court, the new Chairman of the Court of Appeal and 14 new Judges of the Court of Appeal were sworn in before the President at the Presidential Secretariat this afternoon. The new Judges of the Supreme Court are A.H.M. Dilip Nawaz, Kumudini Wickramasinghe, Anthony Lalith Shiran Gunaratne, Janak de Silva, Arachchige Achala Uthpalavarna Wengappuli and Mahinda Abeysinghe Samayawardena. Justice Arjuna Obeysekera was sworn in as the new Chairman of the Court of Appeal.
