Retired Major General Jagath Alwis assumed duties as the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security today at the Ministry premises in Suhurupaya, Battaramulla. Jagath Alwis was accompanied by Minister of Public Security Sarath Weerasekera, Defense Secretary Kamal Gunaratne and Army Commander Shavendra Silva.
