Leader of Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) and former MP Rauff Hakeem says his party has no connection with either Zahran Hashim or his team responsible for the Easter Sunday attacks last year.
Hakeem made this observation during a public meeting in Pilimathalawa yesterday (15).
He had said that the Muslim community faced many issues following the Easter attacks.
Hakeem had further noted that the charges levelled against his party were mere ploys to gain political mileage at the upcoming general election.
The SLMC Leader had also claimed that neither he nor the party were aware of such an organisation within the community and that continuous propaganda of this nature inconveniences the Muslim community.
