A 48-year-old male COVID-19 patient has died at the Infectious Diseases Hospital(IDH) today, raising the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the country to 7.
The first death related to COVID-19 was reported on the 28th of March from IDH, Angoda. The second death was reported from Negombo on the 30th of March. The third and fourth death was reported on the 1st and 2nd of April respectively. The 5th death was reported on the 4th of April from the Welikanda Hospital.
The 6th death was reported from IDH yesterday(7).
