Pictures by Indika Handuwala [foogallery id="27120"] In a press event held today (29), Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka introduced to the press the grand project of the Makumbura Multimodal Center (MMC) Kottawa. Essentially a central transport hub, the MMC will be opened to the public on 1 April by President Maithripala Sirisena. Minister Ranawaka stated that this is the first in many more central hubs that are to be constructed in the aid of implementing a cohesive system and islandwide connectivity.
