What became to findings of previous PCoI probing Avant-Garde: Anura

JVP Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake today questioned as to what became to the findings and recommendations of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) appointed by former President Maithripala Sirisena to probe the Avant-Gard case. He said the former PCoI was constituent of highly respected individuals unlike the current PCoI appointed by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. He said reports submitted by the previous PCoI found Avant Garde Maritime Services Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi and former Defence Secretary and current President Gotabaya Rajapaksa guilty of corruption. He said the previous PCoI also found several other members including former Senior Additional Defence Secretary Damayanthi Jayaratne and retired Major General Karunaratne Egodawele guilty of corruption. Dissanayake was summoned to appear before the Presidential Commission probing Political Victimization today (26) over a complaint lodged by Avant Garde Maritime Services Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi. Senadhipathi alleged that his group of companies had incurred significant losses as a result of malicious and arbitrary action taken by Dissanayake and a former MPs of the Yahapalana government.
