Minister of Transport Bimal Rathnayake inspected Dehiwala Railway Station ahead of planned renovations under the President Anura Kumara Dissanayake initiative to upgrade 100 stations. 

Improvements will include better passenger facilities, accessibility for the disabled, goods transport support, restrooms, and tourist-friendly food outlets. 

Renovation work is set to begin in the coming months.
