Fox Hill Supercross back after 5 years

21 Mar 2024

The Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) takes extreme pride in organising the 28th Fox Hill Supercross in collaboration with Sri Lanka Automobile Sports (SLAS) for the entertainment of local populace and the holidaying crowds on 21 April 2024 at the Fox Hill Circuit, Diyatalawa which intends to test high-speed of roaring machines and mental robustness of competitors on an identical loving track, located in picturesque historical landscape, popularly known as ‘Fox Hill’.

The history of fascinating ‘Fox Hill’ goes back to British rule in the nineteenth and early twentieth century, where the Boer War occurred in South Africa. The placing of a Fox’s image on the hillock was a fascinating brainchild of a British Captain who visited this hill site with his crew in 1913. Later, the Fox Hill Supercross track was built in the natural serene backdrop of Fox Hill range in 1993 and the first ever Fox Hill Supercross was conducted on 3 October 1993 while its Silver Jubilee celebration in 2017 marked one of the greatest milestones in the Fox Hill Supercross history.

This year's Fox Hill Supercross after a five-year long silence is geared to test the riding and driving skills of over 200 local and foreign competitors in 26 competitive racing events to have lifelong memories. For this, the Media Conference chaired by the Commandant – SLMA Major General MTI Mahalekam WWV RWP RSP USP will be held at Colombo on 28 March with the participation of SLAS President Asher Hameen along with its officials, generous sponsors, and all print and electronic media personnel.
