Six orphaned elephants cared for at the Elephant Transit Home in Udawalawe were released into the Maw-Ara Forest Reserve yesterday (18). 

The release, led by Minister of Environment Dammika Patabendi, marks the 26th group returned to the wild with support from international conservation partners.
