In the face of increasing preventive measures taken islandwide against the spreading CONVID19 virus, Sri Lanka Technological Campus (SLTC) has made arrangements to conduct all its academic activities on virtual platforms.
SLTC has requested the students to stay away from the university premises until further notice starting from Monday the 16th of March .
The online activities will include the delivery of lectures and tutorials as per original schedule, practicals on stimulated platforms, submission of assignments , continuous assessments, and other academic support activities scheduled on the academic calendar. A special steering committee, has been established to effectively manage the affairs of the university, in light of the situation in the country. All efforts and suitable steps will be taken by the university administration to ensure uninterrupted delivery of original timetables, other work schedules of the students and there will be no disturbance to its annual calendar. SLTC being a residential university with around 1000 students living on campus has presently taken all measures to limit the interaction of students in large groups, curtailing the spread of the virus. The decision was taken by the special steering committee that met on Friday, in order to ensure that the adverse conditions presently faced by the country, will not hinder the academic progression of the undergraduates and the academic calendar to be maintained without any delay.
