Malaysian rugby captain Syarif Nurhidayat Muzhaimey is confident his team can perform under pressure as they prepare to face Sri Lanka in a crucial Asia Rugby Championship (ARC) playoff 19 April.

The match, set for Colombo’s Racecourse Stadium, will determine which team advances to the ARC top tier later this year.

Syarif said the squad has made strong progress during training camps and hopes their tactical execution will be sharp on game day.

Naturalised Fijians Samuela Tamanisau and Etonia Vaqa Saukuru are part of the squad, with the final lineup to be named today (15).

Sri Lanka has also named a 35-member squad, which will be reduced to 25 ahead of the match.
