President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, in his Sinhala and Tamil New Year message, called on all Sri Lankans to unite with renewed strength and goodwill for the nation’s transformation.
Highlighting the festival’s spirit of renewal, he emphasised building “A Thriving Nation – A Beautiful Life.”
Reflecting on progress under the National People’s Power (NPP) government, he praised the people’s resilience and reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to overcoming challenges with strategic efforts.
The President also stressed the importance of New Year traditions in promoting harmony, unity, and coexistence among communities and with nature.
He concluded with a call for collective effort to ensure lasting progress and prosperity for all.
