The Cabinet has approved the submission of new regulations under the Anti-Corruption Act No. 09 of 2023 to Parliament.

These regulations, published in Gazette Extraordinary No. 2428/43, aim to bolster provisions related to asset and liability declarations in line with global anti-corruption standards.

The rules were formulated after consultation with the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).

They are part of broader efforts to empower the newly established independent commission to investigate and prosecute bribery, corruption, and related offences.
