The Registrar General’s Department has launched a new call centre and a modernised website to improve public services.
The launch coincided with the department’s 161st anniversary.
Minister Chandana Abayarathne stated that the initiative supports the government’s digitalisation efforts.
Authorities noted that services can now be accessed via the “1930” hotline and the new website in Sinhala, Tamil, and English.
The system also aims to reduce reliance on intermediaries and improve access for Sri Lankans abroad.
