The Secretary to the Public Security Ministry has submitted the Presidential Commission’s report on the Easter Sunday attacks to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further investigation.

Public Security Minister Ananda Wijepala confirmed the move was made under President Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s instructions.

Accordingly, the President stated that several individuals responsible for the 2019 attacks would be exposed before this year's Easter Sunday.

He emphasised that investigations are progressing systematically and that the CID is working to uncover key suspects before 21 April.
