Ten Sri Lankan players have been selected for the mini-auction to select players for the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) tournament.
The names of 405 players have been listed for this player auction to be held on 23 December in Kochi, India.
A total of 369 players have been listed by 10 teams from the initial list of 991 players, with an additional 36 players added to the list as well, as per the requests made by the teams.
Out of these 405 players, 273 are Indian players and 132 are foreign players. Furthermore, four players from associated nations have also joined the list. Currently, there is room for 87 players including 30 foreign players in the 10 teams playing in the tournament.
The base auction amount of all the Sri Lankan players combined stands at INR 5,000,000. It is important to note that among these players, Dunith Wellalage is yet to earn his T20 national cap for Sri Lanka.
