State owned dairy companies Milco and Highland are to be privatised.
Accordingly,the two companies along with 31 other dairy farms run by the National Livestock Development Board ( NLDB ) will be handed to a joint venture between India's Amul Dairy company and NLDB.
Amul is under the ownership of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) based in Anand, Gujarat in India.
