The Sri Lankan powerlifting team returned home after securing five gold medals and one bronze at the 2025 Asia-Pacific Championship in Australia.

Gold medalists include Ransilu Jayathilake, Vikum Perera, and Minura Gimhana, who also won a bronze in a senior category. 

Sri Lankan-born Ruwan and Lydia Paul, now residing in Australia, also won gold in the over-50 senior divisions.
