All former MPs have vacated their houses at the Madiwela Housing Complex, allowing the allocation of residences to newly elected parliamentarians.
According to the Secretary-General of Parliament Kushani Rohanadeera, 40 new MPs have received houses, while 20 re-elected MPs were reassigned their previous accommodations.
The handover of official residences began on 3 December, following instructions from the new Government to clear houses previously occupied by former MPs.
