Sri Lanka's foreign reserves reaches $6.5 bn - CBSL Governor

Sri Lanka's foreign reserves have reached approximately $6.5 billion, exceeding International Monetary Fund (IMF) targets, according to Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) Governor Nandalal Weerasinghe. 


He announced the resumption of vehicle imports, emphasising that imports will be managed to safeguard reserves. 


Weerasinghe also stressed the role of fiscal policies in regulating imports effectively.
