Minister of Transport Bimal Ratnayake told Parliament that the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has been deliberately undermined by political interference over the years.

He revealed that 1,955 SLTB buses are currently out of service, and around 1,000 drivers and conductors have been dismissed for misconduct.
