Secretary to the President, Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, met with a World Food Programme (WFP) delegation at the Presidential Secretariat today (11).
The WFP representatives confirmed their commitment to continue ongoing programs in Sri Lanka without disruptions.
While the food crisis has somewhat eased, WFP officials expressed readiness to provide further assistance through new initiatives as needs arise.
The delegation included WFP Country Director Abdur Rahim Siddiqui and Deputy Country Director Gerard Rebello, with Additional Secretary to the President, Roshan Gamage, also in attendance.
