The Department of Irrigation has stated that the flood situation in the low-lying areas of the Nilwala River will continue today (25).
The water level of the Kirindi Oya, which had risen as a result of the showers yesterday (24) night, has now decreased to normal levels.
However, the capacity of some water bodies may suddenly increase due to heavy showers experienced within a short period of time.
