The Election Commission announced that the deposit money for the 2024 Presidential Election can be deposited from 8.30 am today (26) until 12 noon on 14 August, the day before the calling of nominations for the election.

A candidate nominated by a recognized political party is required to deposit a sum of Rs. 50,000 in legal tender while a candidate nominated by any other political party or by an elector is required to deposit a sum of Rs. 75,000. 

Accordingly, the Presidential Election will be held on 21 September, 2024 and Nominations will be accepted on 15 August 2024, according to the Gazette notification.
