Two unidentified gunmen opened fire near the house of a dry fish merchant in Thalpawila, Devinuwara, yesterday (12).

The suspects arrived on a red motorcycle and fired a pistol as the gate was opened after they claimed to be buyers. 

Accordingly, the bullet struck the wall near the gate, and the shooters retrieved the shell casing before fleeing and no injuries or casualties were reported.

The motorcycle used by the suspects has been identified, and police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
