The Ministry of Religious and Cultural Affairs has announced that 3,500 Sri Lankans have been granted the opportunity to Travel to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj pilgrimage this year.
An agreement was signed by Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Abdulfattah Bin Sulaiman Mashat, and Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, Hiniduma Sunil Senevi.
Discussions also addressed expanding Hajj facilities and increasing the number of pilgrims in the future.
