Former Members of Parliament (MPs) were instructed to return their official residences by tomorrow (20).
According to the Secretary General of the Parliament Kushani Rohanadheera, of the 108 MPs who were allocated official residences, only around 30 had returned them thus far.
She also added that renovations are underway for approximately 70 of the 108 official residences. Renovations are facilitated by the Tri-Forces of Sri Lanka.
Accordingly, these official residences will be allocated to the newly-elected MPs of the 10th Parliament from 3 December onwards.
