The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) inaugurated the ‘Eagle’s Viewpoint’ in Shanthipura, Nuwara Eliya, today (26).
The viewpoint, opened under the patronage of Minister Vijitha Herath and Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksha, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Uva Province and iconic landmarks such as Pidurutalagala, Hakgala, Adam’s Peak, and Lake Gregory.
Accordingly, construction began in July 2024, funded by the Tourism Development Authority, with SLAF spearheading the project. The initiative aims to boost Sri Lanka’s tourism by showcasing its natural beauty and contributing to the local economy.
Tourists visiting the ‘Eagle’s Viewpoint’ can enjoy a unique perspective of Sri Lanka’s scenic landscapes, making it a must-visit destination.
