Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe has been summoned by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) over a statement he made regarding a bribery case against MP Chamara Sampath Dassanayake.
CIABOC’s Assistant Director General, Asitha Anthony, issued the notice requesting Wickremesinghe to appear before the Commission at 9.30 a.m. on Thursday, 17 April.
The inquiry is linked to remarks made about the ongoing case involving the New Democratic Front (NDF) parliamentarian.
