The expressway network across Sri Lanka has generated Rs. 462 million in revenue from 10 to 19 April, with 1.3 million vehicles using the network during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year holidays, Deputy Director General of the Expressway Operation, Maintenance and Management Division, R.A.D. Kahatapitiya stated. 

Authorities expect heavy traffic today (21) as holidaymakers return. 

Motorists were urged to follow safety guidelines and contact the 1969 hotline for emergency assistance.
