The book titled Fundamentals of Semen Analysis – A Practical Guide which was edited by Professor in Surgery and Consultant Surgeon at the University Surgical Unit, Teaching Hospital, Jaffna, S. Rajendra was launched recently.

The first copy of the book was presented to the chief guest, Vice Chancellor of the said University, Prof. S. Srisatkunarajah. 

Senior Lecturer and Consultant Urological Surgeon at the University Surgical Unit, Teaching Hospital, Jaffna, Dr. B. Balagobi who is one of the authors of the book, delivered an introductory speech in which he shared his experiences in working with male subfertility and emphasised the importance of public awareness in this field. He also mentioned that this book would be beneficial for medical undergraduates and postgraduates, as they play a vital role in public awareness.

The book was reviewed by Consultant Genito Urological Surgeon at the said Hospital, Dr. T. Gowribahan, who applauded the well structured content of the book and said that this book would serve as a stepping stone towards creating postgraduate studies in this field of medicine at the said University.
