The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) is to extend trading hours from 10 April onwards.
Accordingly, the regular trading is to commence at 9.30 a.m. and has been extended till 2.30 p.m.The pre-open session is to be from 9.00 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. while the auction is to be open at 9.30 a.m.
The trading hours extension is to take place following a directive issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC).
The CSE operates the only stock market in Sri Lanka and is responsible for providing a transparent and regulated environment where companies and investors can come together. The CSE is a company that is limited by guarantee established under the Laws of Sri Lanka.
The CSE is licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) and is a mutual exchange consisting of 15 Members and 13 Trading Members.
All Members and Trading Members are licensed by the SEC to operate as Stockbrokers.
