The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) confirmed it will submit its revised electricity tariff proposal to the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) today (6).
This proposal, covering the first half of 2025, is expected to take effect in the third week of January.
The PUCSL had previously identified errors in an October proposal for a December tariff revision, prompting multiple deadline extensions, with today being the final one.
Accordingly, the PUCSL stated it will independently proceed with tariff adjustments if the CEB fails to meet the deadline.
