President Anura Kumara Dissanayake held discussions with senior officials of SriLankan Airlines today (8) to explore strategies for turning the airline into a profitable state-owned enterprise.
According to the President’s Media Division (PMD) the talks focused on debt management, investment opportunities, and restructuring plans.
The President instructed officials to move away from privatization and instead introduce a new management model to ensure long-term profitability.
Despite recent operational profits, SriLankan Airlines remains burdened by losses due to past mismanagement.
