Police announced that a procession will take place from St. Lucia's Cathedral in Kotahena to St. Anthony's Shrine in Kochchikade, followed by a special service at St. Anthony's Shrine, to commemorate the sixth anniversary of the Easter Sunday attacks.
The procession will start at 7.00 a.m. from St. Lucia's Cathedral, proceed through Bonjean Junction, turn left at Galpotta Roundabout, continue through Galpotta Road, and travel via Jampettah Street to reach St. Anthony's Shrine.
Accordingly, from 7.00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., certain roads in the Foreshore police division will be temporarily closed.
The general public was urged to use alternative routes to minimise the traffic congestion in the route planned for the procession.
