The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) stated that the worker registration for Lebanon has been suspended due to the ongoing war activities in the region.
Accordingly, if a Sri Lankan working in Lebanon wishes to be repatriated, they can do so by coordinating with the Sri Lankan Embassies.
The SLFBE also added that relatives of Sri Lankans working in Middle Eastern countries can contact the hotline number ‘1989’ to access information on their family members or seek assistance.
