A new luxury bus service has been introduced from Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) to Colombo Fort Railway Station and the Makumbura Multimodal Transport Centre. 

This service addresses past transport issues for tourists, offering a direct, non-stop route along the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway. 

Accordingly , the service, operated by Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka), the Ministry, of Transport and highways and a private company, features 10 luxury buses with a fare of Rs. 3,000 per passenger.
