Christ Church College Matale posted a 122-run first innings win over Kaikawala Central College Matale to register their third successive victory in the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association (SLSCA) Under-13 Division 3 Inter-School Cricket Tournament match played at the Hindu College Grounds in Matale.

With this win, Christ Church College, led by Aizan Zafry, has remained unbeaten with an outright win against Hindu College Matale and two first innings wins over Zahira College Matale and Kaikawala Central in Matale from the three matches played in the first round to end up as group leaders.

Showing plenty of promise, Denuwan Hasaranga was outstanding with a tally of 281 runs, which included two tons, 116 against Hindu College, and 118 against Kaikawala Central Matale.

The pick of the bowlers was Vithul Yumal. He captured 17 wickets for 85 runs in the three matches with his match bag of eight wickets for 32 runs (5/19 and 3/13) against Zahira College being the best.

Christ Church College beat Hindu college Matale by an innings and 75 runs at the Hindu College Grounds.
