President Anura Kumara Dissanayake condemned the recent terrorist attack in Kashmir during a telephone conversation with Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi today (25).
The attack, which took place on 22 April in the Baisaran meadow of Pahalgam, targeted tourists and resulted in the deaths of 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen, with several others injured.
President Dissanayake expressed solidarity with the Indian people, highlighting the attack as one of the deadliest in the region since the 2019 Pulwama attack and a significant incident since the abrogation of Article 370.
