President Anura Kumara Dissanayake visited the Vatican Embassy to express condolences on the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis.

He was received by Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Brian N. Udaigwe and engaged in a brief discussion.

The President signed the book of condolence, extending heartfelt sympathies on behalf of the Sri Lankan Government and people.

The gesture marks Sri Lanka’s solidarity with the global Christian community during this time of mourning.
